Reducing the load on the production facilities of the Rocket and Space Corporation (RSC) Energia may affect the quality of Soyuz spacecraft. This is reported by Interfax with reference to the report of specialists of the scientific and production association (NGO) "Technomash" (part of the state corporation "Roscosmos").
Russia noted the connection between the load on the production facilities of RSC Energia and the reliability of spacecraft. In the theses of the report of NPO Technomash to the scientific and technical conference of scientists and specialists of RSC Energia, they predicted a decrease in the reliability of spacecraft.
"The level of technical condition and reliability (the level of manufacturing quality) of manned and transport spacecraft produced by the RSC Experimental Engineering Plant may significantly decrease"Energy"due to reduced capacity utilization," the authors of the report warned.
Earlier, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) approved the idea of cross-spaceflight with Russia. The head of the American ISS program, Joel Montalbano, noted that the initiative implies flights of NASA astronauts on Soyuz spacecraft.
In September, Alexander Derechin, Deputy General Director of RSC Energia, noted the impossibility of increasing research in low-Earth orbit. During the introduction at the international Gagarin Conference, he said that the expansion of research requires additional funding.
