The company ZALA Aero conducted tests of the marine version of the KUB-UAV barrage ammunition. The basic version can reach a speed of 80-130 kilometers per hour, it can stay in the air for up to 30 minutes.
The test of the marine version of the CUBE-UAV was reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Kalashnikov holding. The concept was presented during the international forum "Army-2021".
CUBE-UAV is a multi-purpose system. Compact dimensions allow you to launch a drone from a boat. The device can be used as part of a "swarm" of UAVs.
For the first time, the basic version was shown at the IDEX 2019 international exhibition in Abu Dhabi. Among the advantages of the complex are hidden launch, high accuracy of bombing, noiselessness and ease of handling. The UAV can reach a speed of 80-130 kilometers per hour. The duration of the work is 30 minutes. The CUBE-UAV can take a payload weighing three kilograms.
After the launch, the UAV is able to barrage in the sky, looking for a target and attacking it. The CUBE-UAV can dive at the target along a vertical trajectory. Thanks to this, it is able to effectively hit tanks, piercing the poorly protected upper part.

ZALA Aero is part of the Kalashnikov Concern. It develops and manufactures unmanned aerial systems, target loads and mobile complexes.
In recent years, Russia has intensified work on the creation of shock UAVs. So, in June, it became known about the first test of the unmanned "Altius" with a bomb attack. The tests were conducted at one of the military training grounds.

As it was reported at the time, over the summer the device should complete additional tests, which involved dropping small-sized bombs and launching missiles at different targets.
The same set of weapons was used on the Pacer strike UAV, known as Orion, which made its first flight in 2016. In February, the Network posted footage of the operation of this UAV in Syria. It was about both the performance of reconnaissance tasks and strikes on ground targets.
According to open sources, the drone can take 200 kilograms of payload. At standard load, it is capable of being in the air for 24 hours. The speed of the Orion is up to 200 kilometers per hour.
The export version was called "Orion-E". Earlier it became known that they want to increase the radius of its application due to satellite communications: now, thanks to the radio channel, the device can be used at a distance of up to 250 kilometers.
