TSAMTO, November 8. The Russian Helicopters Holding Company of Rostec State Corporation has commissioned one of the largest logistics centers in the Far Eastern Federal District with an area of more than 33 thousand square meters in Ulan-Ude.
Warehouses of various workshops of the Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, entrance control laboratories and the expedition workshop are combined on the territory of the complex. Investments in the implementation of the project amounted to 1.5 billion rubles.
The commissioning of the new complex will increase the turnover of inventory, for example, paint and varnish materials, components for the assembly and maintenance of helicopters, blanks for the manufacture of parts. Also, due to the automation of processes, the volume of heavy manual labor will decrease. To promptly receive information from the warehouse, all its functions will be automated, a barcoding system will be implemented for all goods and operations.
"The new logistics center in Ulan-Ude, which has become one of the largest in the Far East, has united several disparate warehouse complexes under one roof at once. This allowed not only to optimize the flow of materials, parts for the repair and maintenance of machinery, components for the assembly of machines, but also to ensure full control over the loading of warehouses. Thanks to the automated control system, the implementation of which is currently underway at the Ulan-Ude Aircraft Plant, it will be possible to fully track the movement of cargo – from the moment of need to the moment of use in production," Rostec reported.
Part of the logistics complex will be occupied by a warehouse of materials and equipment with an area of 5 thousand square meters, in which 6.5 thousand storage spaces will be created. 3050 sq. m are allocated for the ferrous metal warehouse, it is equipped with a console storage system capable of holding up to 900 tons of metal. Warehouses of paint and varnish materials and purchased components are also equipped.
The staff of the logistics complex works on 14 electric loaders of various types, five crane beams are mounted inside to perform all types of loading and unloading operations.
The logistics center is equipped with automatic water fire extinguishing systems, which allow, if necessary, to control and eliminate the fire before the flame has time to cause significant damage. In all rooms there is a sound alert and an automatic smoke extraction system.
To ensure security, an access control and management system has been installed in the complex, which allows separating access to the areas of responsibility and warehouses of the logistics complex as a whole.
