The headquarters of the Pacific Fleet summed up the results of combat training in the past academic year. It, we recall, in the Armed Forces begins in December, and ends in October.
It is reported that the largest event at the Pacific Fleet was an operational exercise in the Central Pacific Ocean - the first in the recent history of the fleet. There, the command involved more than 20 warships, submarines and vessels, as well as aircraft and helicopters of naval aviation. In two months, the detachment of ships overcame more than 20 thousand nautical miles and performed about fifty combat exercises.
"In 2021, the total surfacing of surface warships and boats, submarines, support vessels of the Pacific Fleet has been increased by more than 1.5 times. And the number of combat exercises performed is 1.3 times," the press center of the TOPF reported.
They explained that a significant increase in the overall surfacing of naval forces is mainly due to the participation of the fleet in an operational exercise in the Central Pacific Ocean, in the international Russian-Chinese naval exercise "Maritime Interaction-2021", as well as with long-distance trips of warship detachments and the development of training tasks in the far sea zone.
The fleet headquarters recalled that more than 5 thousand marines of the Pacific Fleet conducted a bilateral brigade tactical exercise at the combat training ground at Cape Clerk in Primorsky Krai. During the active phase of this exercise, combat firing was organized from armored personnel carriers BTR-82A, BMP-3, 122-m self-propelled howitzers "Carnation", T-80BV tanks, ZSU "Shilka", as well as from artillery installations of ships. In addition, Ka-52 army aviation helicopters and Su-25 attack aircraft of the Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Eastern Military District worked out live firing at the training ground. From the naval aviation of the Pacific Fleet, An-26 and Il-18 aircraft, Ka-27, Ka-29 and Mi-8 helicopters were involved in the exercise.
