Russia has a high level of military security. This result was achieved thanks to the development of weapons, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on November 3.
"The creation of laser, hypersonic, kinetic and other weapons in our country, which has no analogues in the world, has become a real breakthrough in the field of military technologies. Seriously, it has significantly increased the capabilities of the Armed Forces for many years and even decades. It provided a high level of Russia's military security, helped to strengthen strategic parity," he stressed at a meeting on the development of the military-industrial complex in Sochi.
Putin also pointed out the importance of creating high-power laser weapons and new robotic complexes for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The President noted that the development of promising weapons models should be fully reflected in the upcoming new state program until 2033.
In addition, the President noted that hypersonic missiles "Zircon" will begin to arrive in the Navy from next year. The Head of State added that the tests carried out also confirmed the uniqueness of the Peresvet (laser weapon complex) and Avangard complexes.
A day earlier, the Russian leader stressed the need to develop unmanned aircraft, including with the use of artificial intelligence.
On November 1, the head of state said that currently the foreign colleagues of the Russian Federation are deploying elements of global missile defense in close proximity to the borders of Russia. According to him, Moscow will respond to attempts to break strategic parity adequately to the situation.
In September, Putin noted the uniqueness of Russian weapons and military equipment. He also clarified that many samples of Russian weapons have no alternatives in the world. According to Putin, the Russian Armed Forces and the military-industrial complex are developing taking into account the achievements of science and fundamental research, including artificial intelligence and robotics. In this regard, he expressed hope for the interest of Western partners in Russian weapons.
