TSAMTO, November 3. The introduction of fifth-generation technologies at the branch of Sukhoi Company JSC - Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Yu.A. Gagarin (part of PJSC UAC Rostec Group) required a fundamentally new approach to the organization of production and design.

All parts and assemblies of the aircraft, as well as installations are made according to electronic models developed at the Sukhoi Design Bureau and assembled into a single electronic product layout containing all the necessary information for manufacturing, assembly and control. Through the corporate computer network, this information is available to everyone who is directly involved in the creation of the winged machine.

High-precision equipment was purchased for the workshops of machining production, which allows to improve the quality and reduce the production time of parts. KnAAZ has mastered the production of the most complex welded titanium structures on electron beam welding installations.

"A production line for the assembly of fifth-generation aircraft was built for serial production. It is built on the principle of "one platform – one team". As the product is completed, it moves along the production line. At the same time, people remain in their places, performing their functions on each car," said Yuri Kondratiev, technical director of the Gagarin KnAAZ.

When designing the line, logistics was thought out, storage spaces for aggregates were allocated, delivery of components for shifts directly to workplaces was organized, which significantly reduced movement and saved time.

To carry out inspections and tests of the aircraft, its individual parts and systems, the plant designed and manufactured about 300 special stands and consoles designed only for the Su-57.

Today, KnAAZ is implementing projects on priority objects of the flight test station as part of the deployment of serial production.

Also, the project "Organization of serial production of the fifth-generation Su-57 aircraft", implemented by Yuri Gagarin KnAAZ, became the winner of the All-Russian competition "Aircraft Builder of the Year".
