"We have learned how to repel these attacks [with the help of unmanned vehicles] and we are doing [it] quite effectively," the head of state said, opening a regular meeting on defense topics on Tuesday.
He pointed out the importance of the development of unmanned aircraft. "We know very well how it has proven itself in the armed conflicts of recent years, how effective it is and how dangerous it can be for us," Putin said. Putin believes that it is necessary to introduce promising technologies, including artificial intelligence, in the development of unmanned military aircraft.
"We need to continue working on them [unmanned aerial vehicles], working as hard as it has been recently. I am also referring to the use of artificial intelligence, the most modern achievements of technology and science," the President said. He also recommended wider use of his own experience gained during the combat use of UAVs, as well as analytical data.
The Head of State recalled that more than 2 thousand drones are in service.
