"Sharp" is the fourth corvette of Project 20380, which the Amur Shipyard built for the Pacific Fleet. It was laid in 2016, and the deadlines were repeatedly postponed. In the summer of this year, the ship was solemnly launched.
The multipurpose corvettes of Project 20380 are ships of the near sea zone capable of fighting ships and submarines, as well as providing fire support to the marines during amphibious operations. The corvette's total displacement is about 2,200 tons, speed is 27 knots, and autonomous navigation range is up to 4,000 miles.
The armament of each of the ships of project 20380 includes an anti-ship missile system "Uranus", an anti-aircraft missile system "Redut", torpedoes, an arsenal of radar and electronic equipment, as well as large-caliber machine-gun and grenade launchers. At the stern there is a helipad with a hangar for basing the Ka-27 helicopter in the anti-submarine version.
