TSAMTO, November 1. A planned exercise of the search and rescue squad of the Pacific Fleet took place in Peter the Great Bay, during which the crew of the AS-40 deep-sea rescue vehicle worked out actions to assist an emergency submarine lying on the ground.
The work was provided by the crew of the rescue vessel "Georgy Kozmin". The event was held in a special naval training ground, where at a depth of about 60 m, a mock-up of the coaming platform of a conventional submarine lying on the ground was fixed on the bottom.
During the exercise, the vessel "Georgy Kozmin" arrived in the designated area, where, with the help of an uninhabited deep-sea underwater vehicle "Panther Plus", a mock-up of the submarine's coaming platform was discovered and previously inspected. After that, the AS-40 deep-sea vehicle was launched from the rescue vessel.
The crew of the AS-40 performed a dive, calculated the coordinates of the underwater object, and then carried out an approach to the stand layout of the submarine's coaming platform and successfully docked with it at a depth of about 60 m.
The event was held according to the combat training plan of the Pacific Fleet. The assigned tasks of the exercise have been completed in full.
