According to the press service of the Western Military District, the assigned tasks were performed by crews of multi-purpose Mi-8, reconnaissance and strike Mi-28N and Mi-24. Unguided missiles S-8, S-13, as well as automatic aviation guns of caliber 23 and 30 millimeters were used as aviation weapons of destruction.
The pilots coped with combat tasks - they destroyed the infrastructure, military equipment and manpower of the conditional enemy.
By the way, the helicopter regiment pilots performed training flights on the day of the national army aviation, which dates back to October 28, 1948.
