The new warning system will inform the pilot when, in particular, he goes beyond the limits prescribed by the flight protocol
MOSCOW, October 25. /tass/. A warning system on helicopters of left rotation, which often leads to accidents, will be developed in Russia. This was reported on Monday in the press service of JSC Navigator.
"An early warning system for the occurrence of left rotation will be developed in 2022," the report says.
According to the company, the new warning system will inform the pilot when he goes beyond the limits prescribed by the flight protocol, admits violations that can lead to the occurrence of left rotation.
"Left rotation is the spontaneous left rotation of helicopters of a single-rotor (classical) scheme with a tail rotor, observed mainly at the stages of hovering, takeoff and landing, during translational flight at low speeds, in the mode of axial flow around the main rotor or transients to it," the press service said.
As explained in Navigator JSC, left rotation is the most common cause of aviation accidents, many of which end in disaster and lead to the loss of the aircraft and the death of the crew.
The Navigator Institute of Aviation Instrumentation is the only developer and manufacturer of all types of on-board navigation and landing equipment in Russia. All types of Russian aircraft are equipped with avionics of Navigator JSC.
