One of the most advanced fighters of the Air Force of the People's Liberation Army of China Chengdu J-10S crashed last Friday. Perhaps the incident would not have been known, but videos and photos from the scene of the accident in Henan province appeared on social networks.

The winged car was captured lying on the bank of the Jialu River near the automobile bridge, its front part was damaged, although in general the aircraft suffered slightly and, apparently, after major repairs, it will be returned to service.
According to some reports, the "tenth" collided with birds in the air, which led to the engine stopping, but the pilots, demonstrating courage and professionalism, were able to successfully "land" without harming anyone, and then safely ejected.
Some of the experts noticed that for some reason the Sparky's side plates and other identification marks are not visible.
The J-10S is a two-seat version of the fourth-generation fighter J-10A, which has Russian AL-31FN turbojet engines with a maximum thrust of 7700 kgf and afterburner thrust of 12700 kgf. The maximum speed is about 2400 km/h. The practical ceiling is 18,000 meters. The combat radius is 800 km . The maximum take-off weight is 20,000 kg.
It can serve not only to improve the skills of pilots, but is also able to effectively perform combat tasks: to fight the enemy in the air, as well as to hit land and sea targets.
To do this, it has advanced electronic equipment, as well as air-to-air missiles with thermal and active radar homing heads and air-to-ground, including adjustable bombs. The PRC also did not abandon the 23-mm twin cannons.
Now there are more than 500 fighters of this type in service.
