The US Army and Navy have tested prototypes of hypersonic weapons systems. Earlier it became known about the tests of the HAWC air-based missile.
Two days ago, the US Navy and Land Forces [...] tested prototypes of hypersonic weapon components that will serve as the basis for the development of new systems. All three tests were called successful.
The tests were conducted on the same day that President Joe Biden expressed concern about Chinese hypersonic weapons.
The development of new hypersonic systems by the Americans has been known for a long time. The Pentagon wants to arm the Ground Forces, Navy and Air Force with new missiles.
There will be at least several hypersonic air-based systems. Among other things, the Americans continue to work on a relatively small HAWC missile that can be carried by fighters: successful tests of the new system were conducted not so long ago.
