The modern Russian 120-mm self-propelled gun 2S34 "Hosta" was first talked about 15 years ago. Some of the military experts then began to consider it a further modernization of the famous Soviet 2S1 self-propelled gun, which used the technical solutions of the modern 2S31 "Vienna".
Only in 2015 it was openly shown for the first time at the International Military-Technical Forum "Army".
