The Ivan Papanin-type Arctic transport refrigerator will be able to carry missile weapons. To install the Kalibr-K mobile complex on a Russian ship, standard cargo containers will be required. The representative of the company noted that the elements of the mobile complex can be placed in three standard cargo containers. According to him, 40-ton ship cranes will be required for their installation on board and unloading. It is also possible to equip a fourth container on board to accommodate the combat crew of the complex.
The curator of the project added that the Ivan Papanin can perform the functions of an expedition vessel during shuttle flights along the Northern Sea Route.
The launch module of the Kalibr-K complex includes a launcher, a firing control system, control, navigation and communication equipment, as well as auxiliary systems.
