The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu, during a visit to the Omsk Cadet Military Corps, where a unique interactive airborne training complex has been created, ordered to provide all amphibious educational institutions of the Russian Defense Ministry with interactive virtual landing simulators by the end of the year.
"We should have such simulators in all amphibious educational institutions. To report on full equipment by the end of the year," Shoigu said.
The press service of the Ministry of Defense noted that a unique interactive airborne training complex has been created in the Omsk Cadet Corps. "The high-tech space allows you to gain knowledge and skills in military tactical disciplines, simulate various conditions for performing combat missions," the press service noted.
The complex includes wall-mounted visualization with interactive stands and a projection panorama, training parachute simulators using virtual reality technologies, a hardware stand of a combat landing vehicle (BMD) on a dynamic platform, etc.
Omsk Cadet Military Corps is the oldest military educational institution in Russia beyond the Urals, originates from the Military Cossack School, founded on May 14, 1813. The educational process here is built using advanced Russian and international experience. 152 St. George cavaliers, 80 Heroes of the Soviet Union, 8 Heroes of the Russian Federation, five full cavaliers of the Order of Glory came out of the walls of the corps, and 305 graduates of the corps became generals.
The new complex of the Omsk Cadet Corps was opened on September 1, 2021. It was erected after the recognition of the old building of the educational institution as an emergency in the summer of 2020. Cadets already undergoing training spent the last academic year in cadet schools in other cities.
