More than two thousand servicemen of the Krasnodar Territory have begun to be transferred to the Crimea, where part of the program of large-scale command and staff exercises of the Southern Military District troops will be held at the Opuk military training ground. This was reported by the press service of the Southern Military District.
The convoys relocated to the peninsula include more than 200 units of wheeled vehicles.
- On the march, the servicemen will perform the tasks of controlling through closed radio communication channels, as well as protection from fire damage, from the effects of weapons of mass destruction of a conditional enemy, - the press service clarified. - A special commission of the headquarters of the Southern Military District will assess the implementation of combat readiness measures, the state of weapons and military equipment, logistics.
The servicemen will work out practical actions within the framework of bilateral regimental and battalion tactical exercises at 25 training grounds of the district. In total, about 8000 military personnel were involved in the command and staff exercises with the associations and formations of the Southern Military District. About 350 units of weapons and military equipment from the Air Force and air defense associations, formations and units of the armed forces and special forces of the district subordination, the forces of the Black Sea Fleet and the Caspian Flotilla are involved.
