Units of the Barnaul Division of the Strategic Missile Forces stationed in the Altai Territory brought mobile ground-based YARS missile systems to combat patrol routes.
"In total, the rocket scientists will work out several dozen introductory ones. Including those aimed at studying the capabilities of the compound to maintain combat capability in various conditions of the situation," the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported.
They added that the personnel and equipment have already made a march of about 100 kilometers, carried out engineering equipment of field positions, organized camouflage and combat security there. And the anti-sabotage formations of the division practiced in the search, blocking and destruction of conditional saboteurs. When solving these tasks, the military used special equipment, including tYphoon-M combat anti-sabotage vehicles and their regular drones.
It is known that the Barnaul Missile Division is now completing the transition to the yArs mobile complexes. This process is planned to be completed by the end of this year. The re-equipment of the compound with new equipment is carried out simultaneously with the planned combat training. Rocket scientists are still on combat duty on patrol routes and constantly organize exercises. Including countering saboteurs.
In this case, "tYphoon-M" is really irreplaceable. This vehicle was specially created on the basis of the BTR-82 armored personnel carrier to cover mobile nuclear missile systems on the march. It is equipped with a navigation system and means of countering radio-controlled explosive devices, a thermal imager for night reconnaissance, an echolocation system and an unmanned aerial vehicle for aerial surveillance. According to the designers, the tYphoon is able to detect enemy objects at a distance of up to 5 kilometers, and foot saboteurs - from three.
Along with the Typhoon, the Missile Forces also receive a unique simulator for training personnel. Thanks to its versatility, it allows you to train the entire crew of the anti-sabotage vehicle - from the driver to the shooter of the remotely controlled weapons platform.
Strategic rocket scientists also actively use special reconnaissance vehicles RHM-4, created on the basis of the BTR-80 armored personnel carrier, on combat patrol routes. And this is far from the only modern technology designed to ensure high survivability of missile parts.
Among other special means developed for "strategists", it is necessary to mention the remote demining machine "Foliage". It works on new physical principles - an ultra-high-frequency radiation unit is installed on the armored car. Previously, such technology was not used for the remote elimination of explosive devices. But with its help, you can detect mines and land mines at a distance of up to 100 meters and in a sector up to 30 degrees. In other words, the saboteurs will no longer be able to undermine the mobile strategic complex on the march, because smart electronics will warn the crew in advance of the impending danger.
