The South Korean main tank K2NO Black Panther for testing in Norway received the Israeli active protection complex Trophy.

A combat vehicle in camouflage typical for the army of this Northern European country was recently photographed during transportation on a trawl. It is expected that it will be demonstrated at the 13th Seoul Aerospace and Defense Exhibition. The work of the international forum will begin on October 19.
It is known that the tank is currently being actively offered to the ground forces of foreign countries. So, last summer it became known about his successful trials in Oman. It is assumed that, first of all, they will replace the outdated American-made M60A1 and M60A3, and then the British Challenger 2. A total of 76 copies will be purchased.
Norway is also planning to upgrade its armored fleet, currently consisting of fifty Leopard 2A4. At the same time, there are only 36 units in the units now. Along with the Black Panther, the German Leopard 2A7 NO. will also be tested.
In case of victory, most of the contract will be fulfilled by Norwegian enterprises, where they will organize assembly using components developed in the country, for example, remote-controlled modules.
The K2 is currently considered one of the most advanced foreign tanks in the world. As an armament, it uses a long-barreled 120-mm cannon with an automatic loader that provides a rate of fire of up to 15 rounds per minute. This technical solution reduced the crew to three people.
Ammunition - 40 shells. There is also a paired 7.62 mm machine gun and another 12.7 mm anti-aircraft gun. The fire control system allows you to hit targets at high speeds, both day and night.
Active and dynamic protection complexes are used in the design, however, the first one, apparently, has not yet been fully finalized, and therefore the Norwegian side preferred the Israeli KAZ.
The engine power is 1500 hp, the maximum speed on the highway is 75 km/h. The power reserve is 450 km.
At the same time, there are still problems with the production of domestic transmissions, which can significantly complicate export deliveries.
