Moscow. October 9th. INTERFAX-AVN - Landing from airplanes and helicopters is practiced in the Kaliningrad region by more than 250 military personnel of the airborne assault and reconnaissance amphibious battalions of the Army Corps and the Marine Corps of the Baltic Fleet (BF).
"Marines and scouts make jumps in a different range of heights - from 600 to 1,200 meters from AN-26 military transport aircraft and Mi-8 helicopters of the naval aviation fleet. At the same time, a group of up to 30 people is being disembarked," the BF said in a statement distributed on Saturday.
The servicemen are practicing landing skills in full combat gear and with standard weapons, informs the fleet.
According to him, "the performance of parachute jumps will last until the end of November."
