About 100 Russian ships and support vessels are performing tasks in the World Ocean, said Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, Commander-in-chief of the Navy. On the air of Sputnik radio, retired Colonel Viktor Litovkin commented on these data.
Currently, about 100 Russian ships are in the far sea and ocean zones, said the commander-in-chief of the Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov.
The Commander-in-chief sent a telegram to the command of the Northern, Pacific, Black Sea, Baltic Fleets and the Caspian Flotilla, as well as to the commanders of ships and vessels on the occasion of the Day of the commander of the ship, which is celebrated in Russia on October 8.
According to Evmenov, the main thing for a commander is "to love his commanding work, to give himself all to his ship."
As RIA Novosti notes, the number of ships has increased significantly compared to the spring of this year. On May 9, it was reported that more than 60 ships and vessels are performing tasks in the World Ocean.
On the air of Sputnik radio, military expert, retired Colonel Viktor Litovkin noted that the increase in the number of Russian ships in the World Ocean speaks about the activity of our fleet.
According to him, the almost doubling of the number of warships in the world's oceans is a very good indicator.
