A US Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter jet crashed in Death Valley.
In California, an F/A-18F Super Hornet carrier-based fighter-bomber crashed in Death Valley National Park. This is reported by the Navy Times.
The pilot managed to eject, he escaped with minor injuries. No one was injured on the ground when the plane crashed, as the accident occurred on the outskirts of the park.
The fighter was assigned to the 9th test and evaluation squadron "Vampires".
This is not the first time that planes from this base have crashed. In 2019, an F/A-18F Super Hornet also crashed in Death Valley. The pilot did not survive the accident. Also, when the plane crashed, park visitors were injured.
