USS Freedom is a relatively new ship, it was commissioned in 2008. Thus, he served in the Navy for an extremely short time - about 13 years. All this time, USS Freedom was used, among other things, as a test and training vessel.
The representative of the USS Freedom type became one of two ships belonging to the LCS class, or Littoral Combat Ship. These are steel single-hull combat units with an aluminum superstructure.
