Moscow. October 1. INTERFAX - The combat equipment of the "soldier of the future" will include an exoskeleton, robotic complexes and mini-drones, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Ground Forces Oleg Salyukov said.
"Speaking about the combat equipment of the soldier of the future, it should be noted that in 2021, together with domestic industrial enterprises, extensive work was carried out to include a new "robotic" subsystem in the combat equipment of a serviceman, which includes mini- and micro-UAVs, wearable robotic complexes, as well as exoskeletons," Salyukov said in an interview with the newspaper of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation kRasnaya Zvezda.
He noted that the process of improving the "Warrior" combat equipment is also continuing.
"Since 2019, the Sotnik complex of works has begun, where new models of small arms, melee weapons and personal armor protection equipment are being developed," the commander-in-chief said.
In August, Bekhan Ozdoev, industrial director of the cluster of armaments, ammunition and special chemicals of ROSTEC State Corporation, told INTERFAX in an interview about the imminent start of work on the creation of a new generation of combat equipment.
"The Russian Defense Ministry has already outlined its vision of new equipment for the military. There is a common understanding of where to move. We are waiting for the official start of work," Ozdoev said.
He stated that the cluster already has a number of developments in this area.
"For example, we are creating an interactive helmet that changes color depending on the situation. kAlashnikov has created a modern modular unloading system for special forces. There are interesting developments on the fabrics of the future and means of protection," Ozdoev said.
