Moscow. September 29. INTERFAX - The Arctic grouping of the Northern Fleet (SF) has worked out the landing of a marine landing on the unequipped coast of Yakutia, the press service of the SF reported on Wednesday.
"The ships and vessels of the Arctic grouping of the Northern Fleet under the command of the deputy commander of the fleet, Vice Admiral Oleg Golubev, in the Laptev Sea, worked out the landing of the amphibious assault on the unequipped coast of Yakutia near the village of Tiksi," the report says.
It is noted that the exercise took place in difficult hydrometeorological conditions with low air temperature and gusty wind. The exercises involved the crew of the large landing ship "George the Victorious", personnel and equipment of the Marine Corps.
"Currently, a detachment of ships and vessels of the Arctic grouping, led by the flagship - the BOD Severomorsk, are moving along the route of the Northern Sea Route in a westerly direction and are preparing for the passage of ice-hazardous areas," the SF reported.
