Russian specialists have developed the first Prometheus perimeter security system, which includes remote-controlled combat modules with a large-caliber machine gun. This was announced by Igor Afanasyev, CEO of the developer company NPO eLektromashina (part of the Uralvagonzavod concern of the ROSTEC State Corporation).
According to him, this security system simultaneously controls up to 16 combat modules that detect an attempted penetration, notify and, if necessary, protect the protected object.
"In any convenient place there is an operator who controls all 16 systems from the remote control, switching to the priority combat module," Afanasyev was quoted by TASS on September 28.
In August, Rostec reported about the creation of the first prototype of a combat exoskeleton with electric motors. It reduces the load on the musculoskeletal system by 50%, energy costs when running and walking - by 15%, allows you to carry up to 60 kg of cargo and shoot automatic weapons 20% more accurately.
