The ceremony of launching the fishing super trawler "Captain Martynov"was held in Russia. This ship is the fourth vessel of the ST-192 project. This is reported by the Telegram channel RIA Novosti.
Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko stressed the advantages of the ship. According to her, the level of greenhouse gas emissions per ton of fish caught on the trawlers of the ST-192 project has been halved.
In 2019, the Russian Fishing Company ordered the construction of trawlers of the ST-192 project at Admiralty Shipyards JSC. It is planned to build ten ships. Each vessel of the ST-192 project is designed to catch 60 thousand tons of fish per year.
Earlier, British analysts were concerned about the appearance of the Russian oceanographic vessel "Yantar" near the territorial waters of Ireland. The UK Defense Journal noted that the ship can be used in reconnaissance missions.
