At the Donguz training ground (Orenburg Region), during the active phase of the anti - terrorist exercises of the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization "Peace Mission-2021", Russian tankers demonstrated advanced methods of conducting defensive combat operations.
The troops worked out tasks to destroy enemy detachments. In the video footage released by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, you can see how the main combat T-72B3 leaves the camouflaged shelter, makes a shot from its 125-mm cannon at a conditional enemy and, without waiting for return fire, rolls back.
Under a protective screen that reliably hides all actions from observation from the air, the tank makes a small turn, heads to the second, pre-prepared exit and continues firing.
It is known that the "seventy-second" of this modification can use not only armor-piercing, high-explosive, cumulative shells, but also 9M119M Invar missiles controlled by a laser beam in semi-automatic mode. They are capable of hitting well-armored targets at a distance of up to 5000 meters, even if such equipment is equipped with built-in or mounted dynamic protection.
The situation in the sky was monitored by the anti-aircraft missile and cannon complex "Pantsir-S1", which is capable of destroying any air targets at a distance of up to 20,000 meters: from combat aircraft and helicopters to attack drones. If necessary, the ZRPC can also operate on the ground. Its 30-mm guns easily disable infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, etc.
The exercise "Peace Mission-2021" takes place from September 20 to 24. They are led by the commander of the Central Military District, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin.
Military personnel from Russia, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Belarus are working out anti-terrorist tasks.
