A video is being distributed demonstrating the use of the tactical unmanned aerial vehicle "Outpost-R "in the strike version during the joint strategic exercises of the Russian Armed Forces" West-2021 " on September 11, 2021.
Drop of adjustable small-sized KAB-20S bombs from the Forpost-R unmanned aerial vehicle in the strike version during the joint strategic exercises of the Russian Armed Forces "West-2021" 11.09.2021 (c) The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation
Although the copyright of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is attached to the frames from the video itself on various resources, however, the original source of the video itself is unclear and it does not carry copyrights itself. The annotation of the Zvezda TV channel says that "the Pacer and Outpost attack drones supported the offensive of the motorized rifle division and the tank brigade of Russia and the units of Armenia and Belarus with fire and air strikes" (this implies actions at the training ground in Mulino in the Nizhny Novgorod region). However, according to another assumption, the video was shot at an airfield in the Kaliningrad region.
In the video, the device with the tail number " 007 "drops two small-sized ammunition, which, apparently, are adjustable bombs KAB-20S developed by the Moscow FSUE" Central Research Institute of Chemistry and Mechanics named after D. I. Mendeleev "(TsNIIHM), created as part of the research"Ballistics-2". The hit of ammunition is not shown.
Recall that the "Outpost-R" is a "Russified" localized modification of the UAV "Outpost" manufactured by JSC Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA) - a licensed copy of the Israeli UAV Searcher MkII, assembled at UZGA from kits of the Israeli company Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) since 2010. In December 2019, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation issued UZGA a three-year contract for the supply of the first 10 unmanned Forpost-R complexes.
