Calculations of the coastal missile systems (DBK) "Bal" and the destroyer "Fyodor Ushakov" destroyed groups of ships of the conditional enemy at a distance of more than 100 km from the coast in the Barents Sea during exercises in the Arctic. This was reported to journalists on Saturday in the press service of the Northern Fleet.
"The missile firing at target positions established in the Barents Sea at a distance of more than 100 km from the shore was carried out by the combat crews of the DBK Bal and the destroyer Admiral Ushakov. They launched anti-ship cruise missiles, which, according to objective control, successfully hit sea targets, " the press service said.
They noted that the crew of the frigate "Admiral of the Fleet Kasatonov" and the personnel of the coastal missile complex "Bastion" worked out the targeting and designation of the missile strike by electronic launch.
"The area of the missile firing was closed in advance for civilian shipping and aviation flights. The closure of the area was provided by the ships of the Kola Flotilla of diverse forces, " the press service of the Northern Fleet stressed.
