The purpose of the tests was to check the compatibility of the new radar with the NGEW electronic warfare system. Northrop Grumman Vice President James Conroy stressed that the tests showed full compatibility of the two complexes. From 2022, the F-16 of the US Air Force will receive a new electronic warfare system.
The operation of multifunctional F-16 fighters began in 1974. The production of modern modifications of the aircraft continues, which has made the F-16 one of the most common combat aircraft in the world. More than four thousand cars were produced.
