Any machines will be able to become "smart" and unite in the network. Yesterday, on September 9, the press service of the Israeli company Elbit Systems presented the universal ARCAS system, which is a computerized system for small arms.
"ARCAS provides warriors with opportunities that were previously unavailable to them, including: passive range measurement, automatic ballistic correction, detection of fire sources, video detection of movement, the ability to accurately shoot from around the corner and from the hip, the C2 interface, navigation, target identification, tracking the amount of ammunition and much more," the press service of Elbit Systems reported.

Technically, ARCAS (Assault Rifle Combat Application System) is a computer with an artificial intelligence system and optics built into the handle, which can be installed on the forearm of the rifle. Information is provided in the form of augmented reality through a nozzle on an optical sight or a special helmet-mounted monocular.

Elbit Systems points out that ARCAS is developed on the basis of an open architecture and has two configurations. It can include a thermal imaging sight or a low-light sight, as well as interact with any existing optical sight.
