Russian military and civilian aircraft will receive a search and sighting complex "Kasatka". Elements of the system designed for reconnaissance, rescue operations and environmental monitoring are already being placed on Russian aircraft. This is reported by TASS with reference to the words of the executive director of the scientific and production enterprise "Radar mms" Ivan Antsev.
According to the representative of the enterprise, the Russian Ministry of Defense has been working with Radar MMS as a customer for several years. Elements of the "Killer Whale" system have already been installed on the aircraft of the defense department, Antsev said.
Also, the "Killer whale" is used in the civilian market. The complex is used in logistics operations, for geological exploration and monitoring of the earth's surface. The effectiveness of the development of "Radar MMS" could be evaluated in geological exploration companies and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, Antsev added.
The Kasatka complex is designed for detecting underwater and surface objects, search and rescue operations, and environmental monitoring. The system is built on the principles of modularity and open architecture, which allows you to adapt the "Killer Whale"to various media.
According to the representative of Radar mms, artificial intelligence algorithms are being introduced into the Kasatka complex, which make the system self-learning. This makes it possible to recognize and classify detected objects as quickly as possible.
Earlier, a representative of the RTI Systems concern spoke about the capabilities of Russian radar stations (radars) to detect American stealth aircraft. According to the general director of the concern, the Container over-the-horizon station can notice inconspicuous B-2B and F-35 Lightning II aircraft.
