The developers of the Printosens company of the Mordovia Nanocenter, which is part of the RUSNANO Group's FIOP investment network, have released the second version of the cyber glove and created new software for controlling robotics, for example, working under water and in laboratories with high risks for the safety of employees.
The cyber glove has a universal Bluetooth 5.0 interface for wireless connection with a mobile device or computer. The new software is able to easily integrate with control programs of various mechanisms.
A distinctive feature is the absence of wired connections between electronic components inside the glove, which significantly improves ergonomics and increases the reliability of the device. All five printed bend sensors, an accelerometer, a magnetometer and a gyroscope are connected by conductive tracks made by the method of printed electronics on a flexible polymer substrate.
Previously, the device was used only for VR / AR programs with entertainment and educational content.
RUSNANO Foundation for Infrastructure and Educational Programs
One of the largest institutions for the development of innovative infrastructure in Russia. It was created on the basis of the law "On the reorganization of the Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies" in 2010. On October 22, 2020, the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs turned 10 years old.
The purpose of the Fund's activities is the financial and non-financial development of the nanotechnology and other high-tech sectors of the economy through the implementation of national projects, the formation and development of innovative infrastructure, the transformation of additional education through the creation of new curricula and educational technologies, the provision of institutional and information support that promotes the introduction of technological solutions and finished products to the market, including in the field of end-to-end digital technologies.
