The development of weapons for the national fleet continues in Turkey. Today, on September 3, the Turkish state-owned company Makine Kimya Endüstri (MKE) presented a 76-mm naval artillery installation and a 20-mm anti-aircraft art complex at the IDEF-2021 weapons exhibition. As the portal notes navalnews.com if information about the creation of a gun for the Navy has already appeared in the press, then the new anti-aircraft art complex turned out to be a surprise for most specialists.

The range of the 76-mm MKE gun is 16 km, the ammunition is 70 shells, the rate of fire is 80 rounds per minute. As MKE CEO Yasin Akdere said earlier, the project was launched in 2020 due to the expected high purchase costs and a long delivery schedule for 76-mm installations of the Italian Leonardo corporation. Tests of the new 76-mm cannon with live firing are planned for October–November of this year.

The 20-mm anti-aircraft artillery complex is equipped with an electron-optical sensor, but does not have a radar for searching and tracking targets. According to representatives of MKE, now the complex is focused on working together with the ship's combat information and control system Genesis Advent, which is equipped with Turkish G-class frigates.
The company plans to establish deliveries of a 20-mm art complex by the end of 2022. The range of hitting targets is 2 km, ammunition-1500 shells, rate of fire — 4000 rounds per minute.
