MOSCOW, September 2. /TASS/. Several dozen aircraft of the Russian military department are in the air every hour, their movements, as well as the situation in Syria, Nagorno-Karabakh, and other regions of the world are monitored by the National Defense Control Center (NCMS). This was announced by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
"We have at the same time, well, if you take any hour of the day there, then we have about 16 to 20 railway trains that go either with our cargo or with our people to different parts of the country, up to 70 aircraft that are in the air at the same time. In general, everything that concerns the life of the army is here, " Shoigu said, communicating with young people as part of the educational marathon "New Knowledge".
The meeting was held within the walls of the NCSUO. According to the minister, from here comes the management of the armed forces on the territory of Russia and abroad.
"This is such a system of the control center - the management of all spheres of life of the armed forces of our country, the fleet, the army both in our country and abroad. This is the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation. It consists of several parts. The main thing is, of course, the center of everyday control, the center of combat control. We manage, in fact, everything from here - our fleet, the movement of goods, the provision of armies, ensuring that a lot of work is carried out in Syria, our bases in Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, the management of peacekeeping forces in Nagorno - Karabakh, the management of logistics," Shoigu said.
