A prototype of a light tank with a new turret and armament was photographed in Serbia. The Belgrade company DLS Special Systems installed the Soviet MT-12 Rapira anti-tank gun in the car on the basis of the world's first floating self-propelled gun "Gvozdika".
The equipment also includes a modern gunner's sight to the right of the gun and a machine gun module on the roof. A similar tower was previously installed by DLS on a heavy version of the Calidus Wahash 8×8 fire support vehicle.
The Serbian tank is designed to defeat armored vehicles, fortifications, bunkers and other targets, writes Defense-Blog. It is also known that a car is being created for customers from Asia-presumably Myanmar and Bangladesh.
The 105mm turret is named Light Turret High Performance Low Recoil Gun (LT-HPLRG-AT), which has been used on Calidus' Wahash 8×8 large-calibre fire support vehicle. pic.twitter.com/jnUKlTRgtv
