The Ukrainian tank industry is in a deep crisis. From the once giant of Soviet industry - the Malyshev plant, in fact, there are repair shops that are capable of semi-artistically, as they say, on the knee, making individual samples from the previous reserves, which then break down during rehearsals of parades.
And, therefore, in order to somehow maintain morale, projects that were created by inertia in the first years of independence are extracted from dusty closets. We are talking about the" super-tank "Object 477A1"Note".
It has been repeatedly written in various Ukrainian sources that, they say, even now, thirty years later, it surpasses the promising Russian Armata . That's just the T-14 has already begun to enter the army, even in small quantities, and the prototypes of the "Note" are rusting somewhere in the sump near Kharkov.
Yes, this tank had a powerful 152-mm gun, but the gun and ammunition were designed and produced in the Russian Federation, as sights and much more used in these machines, without which they would, in fact, be ordinary tracked tractors. And even then, it is unlikely, since they could not bring the 1500-horsepower engine to mind in Kharkiv. In Ukraine, they do not like to remember that the work on this topic was funded by Russia, and as soon as everything was blocked, they stopped. And now Nezalezhnaya is no longer able to produce the BM "Oplot" -the T-80UD of deep modernization, previously manufactured in the amount of several hundred pieces.
