It was created on the basis of a separate repair and restoration battalion of the Baltic Fleet.
The idea of creating such a park was born a year ago. The sectors united by a single concept include a platform for displaying equipment, an alley of cars, an exhibition of weapons samples and a battalion club.
All the equipment on display has been in warehouses for a long time, and the battalion's personnel have been put in order. In particular, here you can see the legendary T-34 tank, the BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicle, the PT-76 floating tank. On the" Alley of Motorists " there are cars that were once used in the Armed Forces of the USSR.
The opening ceremony of the military-patriotic park was attended by the acting deputy head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Alexey Tsygankov.
The plans are to expand the exposition, increase the site for new exhibits, the Military-Industrial Courier was told in the information support department of the press service of the Western Military District for the BF. The new park is aimed primarily at young people. It will be attended by unarmeits, cadets, organized groups of students and students.
Next year, it is planned to create two more similar parks in the Baltic Fleet – in the fighter aviation regiment in Kaliningrad and in the road commandant battalion in Chernyakhovsk.
