The medium-haul airliner will begin operating regular flights next year, 2022.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov said that by 2026 it is planned to gradually reach the production rate of 70 such aircraft per year.
The MS-21 passenger aircraft made its first flight with the PD-14 engine in December 2020. It was specified that he took off from the airfield of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant and was in the air for 85 minutes.
