The fighters performed more than 30 combat training sorties for live firing
MOSCOW, August 28. /TASS/. The crews of the fighter aviation regiment of the Leningrad Army of the Air Force and the Air Defense Forces of the Western Military District used guided missiles during exercises in Karelia. This was reported on Saturday by the press service of the Western Military District.
"Flight crews of multi-purpose supermaneuverable Su-35S fighters of the 4++ generation have performed more than 30 combat training sorties for live firing with guided missiles of the R-73 short-range maneuverable combat from the home airfield," the report says.
In the Western Military District, it was noted that when repelling a massive air strike, the luminous aviation multi-flare bombs SAB-250-200 and training parachute thermal bombs of the M6 type, which in passive radar and thermal modes simulate the air targets of a conditional enemy, acted as air targets.
