The American aerospace company Astra postponed its first commercial rocket launch at the last second of the countdown. This is reported by Investors Business Daily.
According to the American publication, the launch was interrupted by the guidance system a second before takeoff. It is noted that the company has not yet announced the date of the next flight. The launch of the rocket was supposed to take place under a contract with the Pentagon, the rocket should carry a payload for the US space forces.
Two previous launches of the company's rockets ended in failure: in September last year, the device did not reach space due to problems with the guidance system, and in December it was unable to gain sufficient orbital speed due to lack of fuel.
Earlier it was reported that Roscosmos is postponing the launch of the Luna-25 mission to May 2022. The postponement of the launch is due to the lack of time to prepare the program elements. According to the vice-president of the Russian Academy of Sciences, academician Yuri Balega, scientists do not have enough time to complete the preparation of the apparatus. His words were confirmed by Academician Yuri Marov. "I can say that the launch has been postponed to next year. Most likely, it will be May, " Marov said.
