The S-13 NAR system has already been registered on MiG-29BM, Su-24M, Su-25, Su-30MK2, Yak-130 and Mi-28N helicopters, "Alexander Kochkin, executive director of NPO Techmash, told TASS.
According to him, the S-13 combines the capabilities of several unguided 122 mm caliber missiles. The new missile has a switch of the initiation unit for instantaneous detonation of the warhead and two decelerations: small and large.
- If you put the switch on instantaneous detonation, we get the result of C-13OF. The explosion will occur on the surface and hit lightly armored vehicles. When setting the maximum deceleration, the C-13T effect will be achieved, " Kochkin continued.
The combat unit of the C-13B of increased power. It is designed to destroy aircraft in reinforced concrete shelters, airfield runways and other strong targets, as well as openly located military equipment and manpower.
