This was announced to TASS on the sidelines of the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2021" by the head of the AK Bars shipbuilding Corporation Renat Mistakhov.
"MRK" Grad " will be launched this year, the ceremony is planned for the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan (August 30). By order of Naro-Fominsk of the same project: the planned launch period is the first quarter of 2022. Delivery of both orders according to the state contract is scheduled for 2022, " Mistakhov said.
"The delivery of the third similar order "Stavropol" will be carried out within the terms of the state contract," he added.
The head of the corporation noted that today " it is not known about plans to continue the construction of ships of the project 21631 or its modifications." "If a decision is made on the construction, the project of the modernized ship can be done in no more than 6 months, we have studies," Mistakhov assured.
"Currently, nine ships of this project-the lead "Grad Sviyazhsk" and serial "Uglich", "Veliky Ustyug", "Zeleny Dol", "Serpukhov", "Vyshny Volochek", "Orekhovo-Zuyevo", "Ingushetia" and "Grayvoron" - are already serving in the Russian Navy, three more units of the project-"Grad", "Naro - Fominsk" and "Stavropol" are being built on the slipways of the construction plant, " he said.
Some of the Buyan-M-type MRCS transferred to the Navy took part in strikes with Kalibr-NK missiles against militant targets in Syria.
