The modernization potential of the small rocket ships of the project 21631 is huge, said the head of the corporation Renat Mistakhov

The AK Bars Shipbuilding Corporation is ready to begin the modernization of small rocket ships (MRCS) of the Buyan-M type project 21631, the relevant proposals with their justification have been submitted to the command of the Russian Navy. This was announced to TASS on the sidelines of the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2021" by the head of the corporation Renat Mistakhov.
"The modernization potential of the small missile ships of the project 21631 is huge, so such studies were made and submitted for consideration by the Navy. We hope that these proposals will interest the fleet, " he said.
Mistakhov also said that JSC "Zelenodolsk Design Bureau" has developed four export variants based on the MRK project 21631. These are the ships of project 21635 "Sarsar": option 1 - a small missile ship, option 2-a patrol ship, option 3 - a small anti-submarine ship, option 4-a patrol ship.
"Each of these options has its own purpose, performs its own tasks, has its own shipbuilding elements and weapons composition," the head of the corporation noted.
