MOSCOW, August 19. /TASS/. The exhibition of military equipment aimed at foreign markets will be presented within the framework of the international military-technical forum "Army-2021", said the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov.
"An exhibition of export-oriented samples of weapons and equipment has been created especially for showing to foreign delegations together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for Military - Technical Cooperation and Rosoboronexport, which will open on August 23," Gerasimov said at a briefing for foreign military attaches on Thursday.
He also said that the pavilion of the enterprises of the military-industrial complex will host the international exhibition "Products of the leading enterprises of the defense industry of Russia".
"The dynamic program of the forum will be presented at the Alabino training ground and Kubinka airfield in the form of displays of individual samples of military equipment during the breaks of the Tank Biathlon competition," Gerasimov said.
According to him, another feature of the dynamic component will be a live broadcast on information screens in the Patriot Park of displays of the capabilities of weapons and military equipment from the Alabino training ground.
"For the first time, the flight program includes a performance of aerobatic groups of the Aerospace Forces with the participation of cadets of the Krasnodar Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots," the chief of the General Staff said.
Small arms and drones
"A demonstration of modern and promising small arms is planned in the multifunctional fire center of the Patriot Park. On August 25 and 26, the championship on the management of unmanned aerial vehicles and robotic complexes "Dronbiathlon"will be held. Four teams will take part in it. During the championship, the operators of the scientific companies of the technopolis "ERA" will demonstrate the control of a swarm of drones, " Gerasimov said.
He said that the scientific and business program of the forum provides for more than 200 events.
The most significant events will be the congresses dedicated to artificial intelligence technologies in the interests of defense and security of the state, as well as the issues of diversification of the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation.
