Moscow. August 18. INTERFAX - A modern production line for non-destructive testing of turbine blade castings for civil engines has been launched at the Rybinsk enterprise of the United Engine Corporation UEC-Saturn, the UEC press service reports.
"The new equipment of domestic production is designed for a throughput of at least 300,000 blades per year and provides for minimal operator intervention in the technological process, reducing the influence of the human factor," the report said on Wednesday.
According to the press service, the line of fluorescent capillary control of this class was introduced for the first time in the UEC. The new site for monitoring the structure of the material and the absence of foundry defects is organized as part of the development of the center of specialization "Turbine blades" "UEC-Saturn" in accordance with the program of transformation of the industrial model of the UEC, the report says.
"Fluorescent capillary control is one of the key special processes, the implementation of which is subject to the most stringent requirements of certifying bodies. The implemented production line ensures the control of turbine blades in automatic mode in accordance with the program, control and registration of process parameters, recording and storing the actual modes during the control of parts," said Igor Ilyin, chief engineer of UEC - Saturn, as quoted by the press service.
He noted that all the equipment is of domestic production. This removes the risks of subsequent maintenance and ensures prompt resolution of health issues.
