The Indian aircraft carrier Vikrant has completed only the first stage of sea trials, but it is already the national pride of the country. The NDTV channel showed a story about the first Indian aircraft carrier, revealing all its strengths and comparing the ship with a Chinese competitor.
Vikrant was laid down in 2006 and is positioned as the first Indian aircraft carrier. At the same time, the ship is built on the basis of the 71 Indigenous Aircraft Carrier project, which was developed by Russia, Italy and France. Initially, Vikrant was planned to be transferred to the fleet in 2013, then the deadline was postponed to 2015, later-for another three years, but these dates were also shifted.
