97 countries have confirmed their readiness to participate in the international military-technical forum "Army" to date. The delegations of 34 countries will be headed by the leadership of the military departments. This was stated in an interview with "Red Star" by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
According to him, last year there were slightly fewer participants of the Army forum, 92 countries. Shoigu noted that more than 20 thousand samples of military and dual-use products will be presented at the exhibition. They will be exhibited by about one and a half thousand enterprises, including from 12 foreign countries. As in previous years, the forum will show weapons and military equipment not only in statics, but also in dynamics with shooting.
Shoigu stressed that during the" Army " it is planned to sign 45 state contracts for about 500 billion rubles. "Contracts will be signed for the supply of Uran14 robotic complexes, remote mining systems, artillery systems and heavy flamethrower systems, special equipment for the Ground Forces, T90M tanks and for the modernization of T90 tanks," the minister said.
He noted that a contract will also be signed for the construction of reconnaissance ships and minesweepers, for the supply and modernization of aircraft, for the purchase of high-precision weapons.
Shoigu said that a championship on the management of drones and robotic complexes will be held within the framework of the forum. There will be shown combat robots, scout robots, mine clearance robots, as well as robots for extinguishing fires and working in dangerous environments.
