The Russian command has used the latest fifth-generation Su-57 fighters to launch strikes against terrorists in Syria.
The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, Lieutenant General Sergei Dronov, said that the Su-57 fighters, which are preparing to enter service with the Military Space Forces, have passed combat tests in Syria. More precisely, we are talking about those combat aircraft that have already been transferred to the Russian Defense Ministry. We are talking about both pre-production and serial samples.
Given this statement, as well as the fact that the serial model was given the closest attention, it is safe to say, according to Free News, that the Su-57 took part in strikes against terrorists in the Syrian Arab Republic.
"The Air Force is currently receiving modern samples of aviation equipment in accordance with the state defense order. By the end of the year, it is planned to deliver more than 60 units of new aircraft, including modern multi-purpose Su-30SM, Su-35S, Su-57 and Su-34 front-line bombers, Il-76MD-90A heavy military transport aircraft, Mi-28NM, Ka-52 combat helicopters and Mi – 8AMTSh-VN amphibious transport helicopters. All samples are being tested during the fighting in the Syrian Arab Republic, and the necessary improvements are being carried out quickly based on the results obtained," Sergey Dronov said.
